Subject: Prop Hair?

I'm looking for prop hair.. It's hard to search on here because it'll show all kinds. I've only been able to find a couple, are there just not that many? I need it mainly because it seems easier to work with for animations. If anyone could tell me where to find some, it'd be greatly apprecaited. Thanks.

All hair in .hr2 format is a smart prop, parented to the head. They can all be saved as a .pp2 file under Props if you wish.

there's also a place called Worldgate 2000, which has some old-fashioned 'non-dynamic' hair, that I've used on several locations..you can do a search (this ain't my PC..;) but be warned..heavy (actually topheavy) n*dity..it's low poly, but if you're importing into another program..sometimes ya just gotta..

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

Thanks for the links. How about Hair Objects? Particularly male... Are Hair Objects the same as Hair Props?

I'm new to Poser, so I may be using incorrect terminology. I basically just wanted hair that you can import like an object and don't have to use the Hair tab in Poser. Almost acting like a Wig, I guess.

Hair objects and hair props are the same thing, hair is usually just called hair(it isn`t usually called a prop).

The links I gave are for hair that doesn`t use the hair tab. The hair tab hair is usually called dynamic hair.

This is the one thing I wish Poser 6 would fix - I've got Hair Hair, Figure Hair and Prop Hair - and of course all the color changes are in Pose Hair. I know they all have different internal characteristics, but I sure wish I could have one Hair tab that ALL my hair files were in.

LonCray ( ) posted Mon, 20 December 2004 at 2:14 PM

Then why'd they have .hr2 hair and .cr2 hair? Are they interchangeable? I wouldn't mind having 2 types of hair - I know the stuff in the Prop folder is much simpler - but I've got hair in Hair and hair in Figures - can I put all the Hair Hair into Figures?

xantor ( ) posted Mon, 20 December 2004 at 2:17 PM

No sorry, I forgot about cr2 hair there are three types of hair.

xantor ( ) posted Mon, 20 December 2004 at 2:19 PM

There actually is only three different types of hair, "prop" hair and cr2 (figure hair )and dynamic hair. If they were bundled together that would probably only cause more confusion.
