Subject: I Nominate Ockham as the next Featured FreeStuff Provider!

Ockham has done so much for the Poser Community At Large, I'm sure there are not only many more Community Members that would like to know, but know why?

I believe the Core of Poser 5 has benefited tramendously, from this Man's Selflessness! From so many different perspectivesm, that I know I'll be returning to time and time again, Ocham has added great scales of automation where before the was absolutely none!

Personally I have experienced Ockham's offering his accute Python Scripting Sense without much more than a Please and Thank You many times over, and in situations Autimation was Absolutely Needed:

Most recently was last week when I asked Ockham for his thought on Batch Injecting .FC2 Files, and he wrote the script ASAP! Last night I let it for 10 hours! And it increased my V3.PZ3 from 20MBs to 160MBs!

On another occassion Ockham generously offered an MT Sampler PY that would set keyframes with a targeted Mts Dial set to keen starter values like -1, -.5, -.25, -.125, 0, .125, etc! After about 1000 Head MTs this script has me well into Ockham's Gratis'

Another Ockham Great Automation is in his Dial Cleaner, to remove, with Automation, hundreds of unused MTs, at once!

Before that The Man wrote Us a script to Zero-Out all of a Figure MTs. I get shudders when I think of how long this would have taken me by hand!

Ockham has also come through in the Global Illumination Corner, with his Change Lights script, that can set Any Numbers of Light's Color and Intensity at once. His Rotate Lights.py, then comes in equally handy in Moving Entire Sets of Globally Illuminated Lights!

Ockham has even, Freely, brought Physics into the Poser Community with a Gravity.py! And the list goes on and on...

So, please allow me Show my Gratitude by putting your hands together to give up Three Cheers for Ockham!

Hip-Hip, Hooray! Hip-Hip-, Hooray! Hip-Hip, Hooray!

I second that. I couldn't live without his light panel script.

Well, I haven't used any of his scripts (which are probably wonderful), but I'd commend him on his knowledge of Poser which he has always been willing to share both here and in the Poser Technical forum. Many a time I'd ask a complex question and he'd be there to answer. Huzzah!! :)

Yup, Ockham is very generous with his time and talent. My Python palette is set up with a button for his scripts - the lighting scripts are especially excellent. We salute you!

That light script has saved me any amount of time. One of those very, very, useful little things that does exactly what it says with no fuss and no 'extra features' that aren't needed. :)

I also vote for ockham! He has saved me lots of time with his scripts.

Fourteenth'd.

The scripts are amazing, the models are nifty, and the combination of models and scripts is jawdropping. Whenever I see an exhibit of animated mechanical toys I think of him and how much fun he would have had in the Victorian era... or as a dwarf making magical toys in Middle Earth for delivery to birthday parties and other special occasions. :) Carolly

Another vote here. And a huge thak you to ockham!!!

Heh , didn't think I'd need to spellcheck 'thank you'. But thak you might be good too...

I'm running a couple of days late getting everything done just at the minute cos Christmas is a busy time. Interview will be up in a couple of days. :-)

  1. Ockham's kept the python forum alive for weeks at a time. 2) He's absolutely prolific in creating scripts he freely shares with members. 3) His willingness (and patience) to modify his scripts to accomodate an individual's request is just amazing. All in all, an excellent choice

Ockham is one of the Renderosity GREATS! He certainly has my vote and gratitude. Rance

I'd especially like to thank him for his light script. What a blessing that's been!

He's already got it, but if it was up to a vote, he'd have mine also. --Rebekah--

A day when I fire up Poser5 & don't use an Ockham script is a rare day indeed, I'll add my vote & thanks to the list :)
