I have just purchased and downloaded Face_off's real skin shader script and am having troubles. When I attempt to run the script, all I get is an empty box (see above). Now I confess that this is the very first time I have ever even attempted to use Python scripts before so I'm more than sure it's something I've done wrong though I'm fairly sure I followed all the instructions in the readme.. Someone help please!!! :) I was really looking forward to playing with this tonight. *pouts*

Haven't seen this one before....looks like python has not installed correctly with P5. Can I suggest downloading one of ockham's fine scripts (like the LightPanel) from the FReestuff and try running it. If they both don't work - then it's a P5 python problem. Let me know what happens....

PC or Mac? Python has known issues on Mac (TKInter apparently doesn't work well).

I assume it's a PC, judging from the path name. I've found Python a bit wonky in Poser 5. Sometimes it helps to re-initialize Python. Sometimes I have to get out, and get back in.

Ajax: it's a pc randym77: I've reinitialized Python several times and I've exited out and gotten back in. The only thing I haven't tried is trying it again today after having the computer off all night... I've downloaded one of ockham's light scripts but don't have time to give it a try just now. I'll let you know how it comes out. :)

OK, the same thing happens when I try to run Ockhams light panel script so it must be a p5/python issue. I didn't install Poser 5, my husband did it for me while I was away this fall. Should I reinstall P5? Is it possible that he didn't install something correctly?

Before you try re-installing poser, have you added the script to the python script list? I've found running scripts from there to be less of a problem than using the run command under the File menu, it's something to do with the long file names & the amount of folders poser has to dig into to get to the script.

OK, everyone, thanks for all your help :) Reinstalling P5 did the trick. I have a feeling that the install crashed (had a poorly seated vid card in the beginning with this new pc) and screwed something up with Python :) Thanks guys!!
