Subject: List of imported objects we can modify

Hello everybody, I want to know what are the imported objects we can modify in Vue d'Epsrit 4, principally to modify their textures. It's possible when you can modify each component of the object. I know we can with .3ds files, but not for the .lwo. And the others ? I thank you for your answers !

Yes...if the object is not broken done by piece in the layer pallette...click on the material summary up top....keep in mind, for example.....if you have 3 summer cherry trees & you change 1 texture on 1 it affects them all...this only happens for identical items. Hope this helps :)

Hum, I don't understand everything :D
One probleme for instance : I have a 3D car model that I import in the .lwo type.
The problem is this object is in one part and so, I can't modify textures of the wheels. In this case, it's impossible to modify one part, isn't it ?

If you click on the material summary at the top....You should see a list of ALL the materials used on the object...click on the tire material & you can change it.... I'll see if I have a .lwo object & attempt to do a screen shot.

Here is a screen shot...both objects are .lwo.....notice in the layer pallete there is NO breakdown of body parts....Look up top...click on mat summery & now you can see the materials that came in with the object...click on the omat you want to change & voila :)

LWO's often come into Vue as a single object. One approach I ususally use is 3D Exploration (Deep Exploration is the newer version)- you can get it free (version 1.5) on this website, as well as other file converters. You can save the LWO in many other formats- like OBJ, 3DS, COB, etc- and often recover all the original material lists, and then re-import it into Vue for easy re-texturing...

Very good dlk30341, it works !

Thanks Veritas777, this software is going to be helpful ;)
I try to make realistic renders in Vue4 (no GI, no HDRI) and it's very difficult.
So, no possibility to change the textures and the result would have been less great.
