I spent an hour or so making this kitchen, but I'm so bored of it already, that it'll never be finished, so I thought I'd post as far as I got.

I like it a lot, Phil, I think is worth finishing! :D

I have about four such projects just from the last few months so I know the feeling!! This has some good untility pieces in it though. I have no doubt you'll find something you need one of those cabinets for, floor and wall. I have have no doubt you modeled a good enough sink that something will come to mind for that too. Use your study from the Mystery challenge, and this, and you're off to a good start on a game of Clue!!

At least you don't do my usual trick with things i'm working on. I get bored of them then delete them off my computer only to hate myself later because i think of something i could add to it. I like what you have done with it so far, just put it aside and go back to it later. No doubt you'll think of something else to do in it or use it for.

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

Drawbridgep, don't sack it, put it up in freebies, folks will cobble that up in no time, especially the Poser folks. BTW, very nice work.

drawbridgep ( ) posted Wed, 29 December 2004 at 7:52 AM

I was just about to upload it to freebies and my internet connection failed at that very second. So I guess somebody doesn't want me to share it. Maybe I will look into finishing it later.

Aye, but if it's a Bryce scene, how will the Posers use it?!?! Going along with what OCDDoug's latest image, perhaps find someone who wants to texture the scene in a collaberative effort? Looks tedious, but you gotta do SOMETHING with such a great kitchen!

I'd be happy to try a render with it :) if you'll manage to get it into the freebie area :)

Attached Link: Kitchen 3ds format.

I won't put it in free stuff right now. But here's a link if anyone wants it. Be warned, it's a really messy model. Nothing is named and there is a lot of tidy that needs to be done.

If you get bored, Phil, texturing and lighting this model could be a good side project for you. I think this kitchen has great potential for a Bryce render. Then you could use it to whip up a can of Cream of Something Soup. :^)

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

I'm reminded of a cartoon. Two Guys in a kitchen with Rifles are plinking holes in the floor. They both have coveralls with ACE Exterminators labels. A horrified housewife in an apron looks on. The caption reads, "Lady, it just says we kill bugs, it doesn't say how!" Lots of things can happen in a dull old kitchen.
