There's no real program that can create 3D landscapes (like bryce or vue ) and export them to file formats that can be imported by poser 5. Are tehere any programs like that or plug ins that can fix this? Let me know if you do Thank you and a happy new year, Peevee

well if you own bryce or vue just send your poser figures into those programs. they have better render engines anyway

None of the above programs allow for "posing" once inside. However, In VuePro & soon to be Infinite...you can export ALL items for use in other programs :)

Whoah! Really? Now that would be worth the upgrade price.

But I think I'd still be more inclined to take Poser stuff into Vue, rather than the other way around. Vue quickly and easily renders scenes that would choke Poser. You're not going to make a stunning forest scene in Poser, like you can do in Vue.

Microcosm is a great solution if you want to render within Poser.

Bryce does not have a better render engine than poser 5, it might be much slower but it is not better.

In Pro..you can export terrains & etc as obj's & other things..can't remember. But I'm with you on your other statmeent....I rarely render in Poser anymore...other than for setup for export.

Vue pro seams quite handy then, how about vue5?

And you don't have to wait five minutes before you see the first bit of the render (and cancel because you need to tweak the lighting) as you do with Poser.

To peevee, Vue 5 does not have the ability to export ALL items as obj etc....I have V5, but am waiting for V5 Infinite.

Another thing -- with both Vue 4 Pro & the upcoming Vue Infinite --

You can exit Vue, change an imported .pz3 file in Poser, and then Vue 4 Pro or Vue Infinite will ask you if you wish to re-load the altered Poser scene: with changes.

This function is quite handy for tweaking Poser scenes in Vue.

How do you people know about vue infinite, the eon-site doesn't seam to mention it ( but I'm a very bad internet surfer, so it could also be that I missed it )

Actually Pevee...There are add-on modules soon to be available for Vue 5...these are are on e-on website...This particular module is called Deep Access..which does what Xeno mentioned..this will also be included in Infinite when it comes out :)

We cry and plead for any nugget of info that E-on will give us... Someone also inadvertantly turned on a couple of pages they weren't supposed to just yet, so some of us have gotten a look at features lists that shouldn't have been seen for a couple more weeks.... They're back down again, now.

I hate to think how much this will retail for.

Vistapro can export dems as dxf files that poser can import free versions of vistapro are sometimes included with computer magazine disks. I believe that there are some free terrain editors that can save the terrains for poser. These files don`t have trees etc but are still quite useful for making scenes.

Bryce and the free Teragen can export landscape element as 3ds. Poser can import 3ds.
