Are these tight enough?

God, those will cut off the circulation to the poor girls legs, looks more like a torture device than stockings ;-)

How did You do that. ?

Displacement maps in P5?

I don't know if you are making a joke or are serious. They really don't look like fishnet stockings. The net is wayyy too big. They look more like quilted leggins than fishnet stockings.

actually the latest fishnets that have been in fashion since 00/01 do look like that, with the big weave (but not that tight of course lol)

Quilted leggings? More like quilted legs... I bet when she takes those off her legs will have a fishnet design permanently embossed on them...

Judging from the displacement in the stocking you should make the mark deeper where the stockings begin - nice work - oh I forgot, the toe front and the heel would be nontransparent

Yep, the toes and heels look wrong. But they really wouldn't work with fur. Take my word for it.

The toes and heels don't have to be non-transparent, I have a pair of fishnet stockings that look that way. They do look quite tight, poor girl =)

Yep, they're tight enough... ;o) I've seen nets that look just like that. Including the toes and heels. I would make them go up her thighs a bit further though. How did you do that?? :] Fish

Here is the texture I used. I rendered the center circle on the one sided square, then turned and copied it to the corners in paint, then applied it as a displacement map tiny uv scale (.02- .03.) or smaller. I started to draw a texture for the stocking and noticed the shape of the very close to black area was almost perfect for the texture (which I displaced and colored also.) I now have equations to isolate the texture on V3, and can put the ends of the net almost anywhere I like, including the toes, neck, and wrists, although the hands, heals and head are probably out of the question. With the arc equations the seam at the ends are easy, but the net seam appears somewhat difficult, and I was wondering if it should be attempted. (I do believe there is a solution.) This texture is my first attempt and in no way resembles the actual curvature of skin subject to this type of constraint, (still working on those formulas too).
