With Poser, of course! What else? The result is visible above. I do have one New Year's tradition, running for 40 years now. I turn on the shortwave radio and wait for the "authoritative" beep from WWV. Two hours to go here (PST).

I too worked on animation today. Have a project due on tuesday, and I'm a little behind. Happy New Year, and solemn best wishes to those in the midst of tragedy as we celebrate.

At home sleeping, briefly awakened as my "pyromaniacal" neighbors set off fireworks. Hey, I deserved the rest. I had barely gotten two hours sleep the previous night when I was paged at 2 AM. I had to go into the office to resolve a program glitch and I stayed until 1 PM setting alternatives for the next night's run. Sincerely, Bill

Played Trump, The Game with My Sister, her Hubby and my Niece, while drinking rum and coke. I was fired so many times, I lost count. We stopped just before midnight and watched the New Year's come in at Niagara Falls, Ontario - what a crowd they had there!!! For once it was above zero so no one looked frozen or even cold. Happy New Year!! :)
Spent the day with my best friend, who had a cold. We pigged out on delicious chicken soup, kept each other laughing all day. I then spent a wonderful evening alone at home with good music (Haydn's "The Seasons" and "How the West Was Won" by Led Zeppelin,) a good movie ("Lone Wolf and Cub: Baby Cart in Peril") and a nice Heffeweizen. New Year's Eve and Halloween, I stay at home in my city, it's too crazy out there, "Amateur Night" as the locals say. DominiqueB's evening sounds just exactly right. I don't have a hot tub, but if you'll excuse me, I'll go take a hot shower and pretend... A very Happy New Year to Renderosity membership and staff!

Worked until 11 PM. Then my brother and a co-worker friend came over to ring in the new year. My hubby, myself, my brother, and friend then played "Scene It: TV Edition" (fun game!) until about 2AM. I think this was the first time in 20 years I actually did something besides sleep on New Years Eve. LOL
....s how I spent New Year's Eve, and today. Due to the tsunami. Living in Sweden, you might guess that I would be immune to it. But in fact, after Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India and Thailand, the coutry hardest hit in the world was in fact Sweden. The number of lives lost is probably over 3000 - out of a population of only 9 million. Everyone here knows someone (or many) who was lost. So one of the discussions here on TV this evening is how people are going to handle going back to work or to school or kindergarten tomorrow, and see all the empty chairs. Of course, the Asian countries that were hit directly are the ones that suffer the most, Indonesia and Sri Lanka have an incredible battle ahead of them the next few years.... :] Sad Fish
Had an East Indian dinner with friends, then dragged the b/f home for hot monkey sex. At midnight, our neighbour, who lives a good hundred yards away, celebrated by firing his machine gun. You definitely knew the new year was starting. :)

Ya never know, Fishnose, I was feeling grateful my friends and I were untouched when a good friend from the Bay Area called to let us know his daughter was all right, she had outrun the wave in Thailand. We had no idea his daughter was in Thailand. Our joy was tempered with chill over what could have been. The five-fingered-race is closer and tighter than it ever has been. Even in the midst of the unthinkable, I'm proud to be a member. On those days, like earlier this morning, when the pain is bad enough for me to wish for it all to end-- this is what I will think of. I wish so much happiness and comfort, and creativity and, now, a big one that I usually forget. . .Luck! to all my friends-- hell, all my acquaintances in the Poser community. Be well, make pretty and outrageous renders, live well, love well, give what you can spare to those who are hurting anywhere around you or on the other side of the world, give tenderness, respect and love to those close to your heart and especially to yourself!! And let's make this next year one for the record books on Compassion, Community, and Undifferentiated Kindness. Just another member of the 5-fingered-race, Emily [she still runs off at the mouth though, huh? lol]

After dinner, I worked on an animation for a while, and plan to kiss the wife and dog at midnight. Anybody else spend quality time with their Poser on the last night of the year?
