I thought it was a beautful movie, subtley teaches a lot of small lessons with wonderful metaphors. The acting is incredible and Jim Carrey shows a side I've rarely seen. The adaptation is more like the plot of the first few books before the main plot is unvieled. I found only two problems: Casting- The boy is supposed to be 12, the pale girl is supposed to be 14. Boy is taller than girl. Yup. Length- Could have been a lot longer and added one final act concerning the higher plotline. Oh well. All in all, I loved the movie, especially its blended 3D effects, and reccomend it to anyone who had as much free time as I did today.

The actress turned 16 in December. The actor will turn 15 in a week. So the girl is older, although shorter.

isn't that the movie where jim carey plays the role of a guy trying to get the childrens fortune off them ? If it is i believe he plays a few roles in that.

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

I saw him on Letterman. The guys a nutter! I think he said he plays 4 characters. I haven't seen the movie yet. But it does look kinda cute. The girl has an interesting look. I think she'll be a real stunner in a few years. I saw The Life Aquatic. That's quite a weird film. I liked it, but can understand why people don't. Also finally got around to watching LOTR: ROTK: extended edition this week. 4 hours!! And I watched it TWICE! "Viggo is so dreamy" PAH, my hair's long and greasy and I have a beard! It's not hard.

I'm a big fan of a SOUE, and I saw it the day it came out. It was better then I thought it would be, and the mood of the film was very good. My only problem was that Klaus never had his glasses on, which was his trademark in the books. Quite an interesting movie. I liked the house breaking apart scene.

Yes, excellent effects on the house crumbling and on the mansion conversion at the end!!

Guess I don't need to go see it now? :-(

LOL, Claymor merely refers to an excellent scene at the end where the children imagine/hallucinate their house is fine but it then awesomely transfroms into one of the most amazing sets I've seen.

In fact there are at least four "house" scenes worth seeing from a "what a cool render that would be" perspective. And for the record I would never give away a film. :)

So how does it end, Claymor? Just testing.

Got LOTR:ROTK extended for christmas. Wish the death of Sauruman followed the book. Oh well. Might go see LS:SOUE sometime this week. Could use a laugh.
