I purchased Vicky when she first was available from Zygote, but, alas, I never installed her or any of the many associated files that I got for her since then. Now, I suffer from confusion in trying to recall which file(s) that I'm suppose to use, remembering that Zygote released an update or two to the original Vicky character file. I've included a screen shot of my Vicky directory in hopes that someone can kindly inform me as to which Vicky file(s) is supposed to be correct for installing her into Poser. Thaks in advance.

Victoria.exe is the geometry and it has not changed. The update 4/29 is the current CR2 The texture files also have cr2 files and these place the textures for you. The update fixes the shoulders. There is an eye fix on my page at Morph World. It includes an x axis change and reshapes the eyelids. (there are 3 morphs that all move the eye socket on the x axis only - I just used one of them in a combined morph.) You want eyefix02. Dwayne Moody has an eye fix on the Z axis here - I think it is purpose built rather than a general fix. It is also useful to set the eyes back: z trans -0.005 This is beyond the dial range, you must type it in. The eyes will not "point at" because the start and stop on the z axis is the same. From Scott A: 1.)Select each eyeball one at a time 2.)open the Joint editor 3.)change the value for the End Point parameter, 3rd value, to 0.043 (was originally 0.036) like this : Right Eye Center Point -0.012 0.710 0.036 End Point -0.012 0.710 0.043 Left Eye Center Point 0.012 0.710 0.036 End Point 0.012 0.710 0.043 And Jim Burton pointed out that the first joint of the 8 fingers were "fixed" by Zygote and the fix is a deformity after the latest Poser upgrades. He has posted a Cr2 recently to fix this - perhaps the point at is fixed in it as well - I use custom JP settings so I have to text edit the finger fixes it out so I do not know for sure. If you do nudes, or want a hi res lip texture, you may wish to get Millie at Morph World. Of you have bought Saluda, the Millie.pcf is included already. Jaager

Uoops: eye z trans = -0.0005

Thanks a heap, Jaager. You answred question that hadn't even crossed my mind yet. :) I appreciate it greatly. Just for clarity, should I execute the victoria cr2 file dated 3/25 then the updated one dated 4/29, or is the 4/29 update a stand alone file and the first one is not needed? Also, what about the order of execution of the Zygote map packs? There are two dated 5/6 (and one has a "cr2" designation in the name - is this another cr2 file, or just a map for one of the other cr2 files?), and two earlier-dated one on 3/25 and 4/11. Which ones can be ignored (i.e., they've been replaced by one or more of the other ones? Arrgh! This will teach me to not let files go unexecuted for so long. I lose the benefit of the flury of helpful forum commmunications regarding them when they are first released.

My brain generally does not retain info that it no longer needs anymore, so I do not remember the results of the sequence, but I will go with logic ; Just do the exe first - any CR2 from before 4/29 will not have the one or two body fixes, so install and over write them in sequence oldest to youngest. Once Zygote released the morphs, they have stayed with all subsequent CR2 releases, so you will not loose them. I think they released the morphs after the initial so this is one upgrade. Any outside morphs you apply are another matter. But once you have a morph applied to any CR2 MM4 provides a way for easy transfer to others. The textures have CR2 files which have the maps properly installed. Victoria is more complex to map - no one click with her. I use Millie so using Zygote's "idiot proof" method does not help. At the minimum Vic takes two maps. Millie takes four and I use several more. I have 3 "misc" maps (at Morph World) these cover materials that do not need to change between characters: teeth, mouth, tongue, lashes (texure) , nostrils, lacramal, finger and toe nails. I have separate eye maps at MW , Catherine P has/had some for sale here and there are others. There are 4 eye materials - eyeball - the first on the list - is the cornea just to do highlights - texture is not important but the trans settings need to be 100% max/min. and no transMap. My eye maps provide 4 times the resolution of the standard Zygote template size, but most of us have migrated up in map size overall: ~2000 for the body and ~1200-1500 head. Lashes and Uppereyebrows need transmaps (MW for the latter). With Millie - lips and nipples are on their own map - with Vic they are head and body resp. The upperbrows are tricky at first - I use these instead of eyebrows (which are a part of the head texture) the morph to control is "brows in" . Many head morphs play hell with these- especially those made using Poser magnets - so you have to get them back. They are difficult to see when set to full transparency. but should be placed with the back edges just emerging from the forehead. (I paint out any eyebrow textures on the head to match the skin around it.) (Because of Millie, I do the same with lips and nipples) To see a new texture, all I must change is Skinbody to body map and Skinhead and eyebrows to head map. This of course interferes with what the artist is presenting, but that is not what I am about anyway. I point here is that texturing will take a bit of attention to detail. AND make sure that - even if you use it as an intermediate step - "texture changes apply to entire figure" is unchecked at the final step. Jaager

When you install all of this, and I installed it all, the thing to know is this: Each version of Vicki that Zygote fixed did NOT overwrite the old one in the Library/Characters/People folder. Instead it added another. Soon you have an army of Vickis. Now the one you generally want to use has the name "Vicki", not "Victoria". If you bought the fantasy map pack, that also installed versions of those too. Those were released prior to last fix, so other than texture mapping, they are not a good idea to delve into too deeply, and ignore or delete the old Victoria CR2's totally, though make a backup of course. I use Vicki named ones as my base. They are the most stable and fixed. Only once I installed Millie and got her set up in a few different forms the way I liked her, I now no longer even use the ones that came out of Zygote... though I do keep them around for whatever use they may be in the end, mostly to pop into Morph Manager and transfer morphs off of.

The only purpose I had on it was to straighten the eyes. Women like Jewel do actually have tilted eyelids, but most don't.

My brain hurts! I hope to decipher all of the thoughtful help that all of you have provided on this subject, but not until the ol' Christmas eggnog wears off.

Whew! What a thread. I will need a computer for my computer to grasp all this. LOL! Thanks boys. That will help me out too. I'm trying a Vick model of Veth, and this is good info for straightening out problems. Merry Christmas! =)

Pleased to have been of some help. In every figure of this character that you have done since P3 - you have done an extreme arch on the eyebrows, but instead of doing a specific morph, you have used the facial expression morphs and this plays hell with alternate facial expressions. My first suggestion is to use the uppereyebrows and just make a transmap to get the shape you want. Paint out the eyebrows on the head If this is not arched enough, try to make a specific morph. I do not know if anyone has tried to morph the uppereyebrow mesh, but I bet it would be a nightmare with the magnets. In RDS it would take about three minutes - after the rest of the head has been hidden.
