Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 11 3:50 am)
I had a hell of a time doing the animation too, is it my imagenation or is Walk Designer broken in the updated Poser? I had SMV doing all kinds of spastic walks - looked like John Cleese doing "the department of funny walks"! And does anyone else find this hypnotic to watch- I keep waiting for her to trip!
Jim, that really is quite impressive!! This is probably the hardest thing to do in Poser (getting tightly conforming long clothing to move with the body). Very smooth and elegant. Your stuff is always of the highest quality and I'm proud to say I own your Nighty, Hollywood hair, and Lingerie models.Well worth the money!! Krel

(Sorry about the filesize of the GIF!) Gee, I got the long dress to actually work the way I wanted! The final (well, almost final) version has virtual thighs and virtual shins, the later only exist to conform to SMV shins. The thighs work the normal way, even though (like the shins) they are not in the mesh, the shins run a collections of morphs a-la Nerd & rbtwhiz. I had a devil of a time doing the morphs, as they are past what you can do with magnets (I made 'em in Max, and went through about 30 versions for the bend), but the EMC part was actually very, very easy, once I read Nerd's tutorial. I will not say they work perfectly, but I will say they work very, very well! You might notice this gown is cut rather tighter than most you've seen, the tighter the fit the more exact you have to be.
