I have just bought a magazine with Bryce 3d on it(which I have upgraded to 3.1) and I have been trying it out. I am impressed with the render quality but stunned by some of the render times. I'm also new to this forum but already have learnt alot. Thought I would post my first image (which does not include a sphere over water). All comments welcome. (PS-And yes I know I should have a head in the basket!)

Was the magazine 3DWORLD Magazine? If so, or if not, I recomend you keep buying it. It has some great tutorials, a Q & A section not to be missed, and every issue is full of demos and working programs. I love it. Great image! And no, you don't always have to have a head in the basket. It could be the beginning of the shift. :)

Do you have photoshop? If so, you should blur the shadows. But that is a very good image :) stick around here and you will learn some really cool stuff :)
