Ok..is it possible to parent lights to a prop or a prop parent to a light. So when a person selects this prop, the lights will be with it. So, in pose, can have lights on, or the lights off. Can this be done, and how? Using P5

Anton's "candleworks" is 7 candles with 6 spotlights each, and it loads from the library complete (with poses for turning the lights on and off)... so I know that it is possible. I used the trans dials to move the candles and the lights moved with them quite nicely. You may want to check the free stuff section for flashlights (torches in Britain) and lanterns to see how the parenting goes. If you are using a lamp or lantern, you'll also need to set translucency. You should try Wyrmmaster's Dynamic Lights 2005. They do this perfectly with just 1 click.

Damn, I was hoping this would be something about filling your dad with helium. :) Anyhow, yes, you can parent lights to other stuff. SnowSultan's Glowball does exactly that, and I've used the technique several times to make moving lights around a lot simpler.
