Subject: What's the fuss around V3 Newgen 2005?

What's so special about V3 newgen 2005 is there any reason I should get that product if I have the "normal" V3? And do the V3 textures still apply to this figure? Let me know Peevee

Peevee, I'll try to make this as simple as possible: What the V3 new-gen is, is a non-injectable V3 with pre-loaded morphs. Their initial setting is zero therefore all V3 clothing will fit until the body is modified. Same as the normal V3. She accepts all V3 textures. About injection morphs from the standard V3: it can be done but takes a fair amount of work using the Morph Manager utility. Her primary function as far as I can tell is for people who want better control over the features. Is she for you? That you have decide youself. If you like to experiment in digital cloning it's a package worth getting. If you are content with the results you get from the standard V3, it's not really a good choice. The only down side I've run across is she is a heavy weight file wise. Stock ~90MB. Hope that gives you a better insight to the product.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

So basicly she's a stand-alone V3 character with tons of morphs that the previous V3 didn't have, right? The 90 MB you were talking about, I hope that's the package, and not the setup file that has that size...?

Correct, lots of morphs. My Cr2 size is 93MB. For one of my combined figures is 198MB. A pz3 file will exceed 220MB. Note on my file size, I used the brute force method of combining, there may be an easier way thus keeping the file down somewhat. But it will never get under the original. Did I mentione she was a heavy weight?

Um, and I kinda remember back in the old days when we were fussing about how heavy V3 was morph-wise, that CL has an undisclosed quasi-limit on how much mb it can take on one figure-- that limit was kinda around 200--250. [this is from an old discussion at PoserPros involving a conversation with Kupa so it's kinda from the horse's mouth-- though filtered through my faulty memory, could have been 300MB but no more than that] I like what I've seen on some people's messing with Newgen-- didn't like the promos at all!-- but it's not worth the heartache for me in working with a Vicki who just might crash on me from her weight. Too reminiscent of my own physical condition.LOL!! Emily

Think I'll be sticking to V3 for a long, long time, she's more of a file hog than Poser. Bad enough the cloths don't conform on her at all and that's why they're giving the old V3 away, nothing fits her and you need a ton of morphs just for the clothing. Bad enough I spend hours morphing cloths to V3 as it is. I don't see the appeal in it or the new characters.

All V3 clothing conforms to V3. Are you sure you're buying V3 clothing? If you morph her body the only clothing that will fit is clothing with the corresponding morphs.
