LOL Nope actually I cant.
Lets say youre in Blender. You select 2 edges. You hit K for the Knife and select the Midpoints version. You draw your lil line and hit enter.
At that point Blender makes the edge you wanted but it also makes EXTRA edges all around that cut area. What I call supporting edges.
What I want is just ONE edge, connecting the 2 I selected. None of this extra stuff.
Ah well, Im guessing it cant be done due to the way the modeling system is coded.

Alrightie,
So I select two verts and hit FKey. This creates a new Edge between the 2 verts, right?
Is there a way to do the same thing with two edges? Select them, hit a hotkey and have a new edge pop up connecting the 2, say at the midpoint?
I know about the knife tool but jeez it adds so many edges, not just one where I want it.
