I imagine the polys added up quickly on the imported bricks. I knwo from doing cattapillar treads that even the simplest models can really add to the poly count if there are many of them.

Well its over 2 million polys. Took about 2-3 days to render. But I thought I could get a more realistic feeling without the traditional texturing. It could be worth the painful renderingtimes.
