I know this image may not ever be good for a print, but think not bad for internet. What I would like is opinions on whether adding this gull makes it believable or if it ruins it. I have not completely got the layering perfect yet...But may if worth it.

The with a gull. Is it too dark on the waves and sky?

I really like both and if you have it as a large file. I think it could be a great print. I can't make out my favorite. I like both.

Is the light direction on the gull correct?

I really like the second version the best - very dramatic :) Great lighting, and I like the addition of the larger gull in the foreground, as it adds more interest and draws the eye into the scene. Dee-Marie

Good Point Misha...Might try some lighting effects.

Looks great to me Doug...... I think someone would have to have razor sharp eyes to see it wasn't originally in the scene.

I am, therefore I create.......

It works for me, I dont think I would have noticed the light direction. I like the scene overall, but I do feel that the gull adds a great finishing touch to it.

I really like the 2nd one. I also questioned the lighting on the gull when I first looked at it. I think the tail is lit to well, but it is really hard to tell (pun not intended) I think the image is believable. Nice job!

i guess as usual I'm the weird one. I like the first image MUCH better. somehow i think the gull takes away from it. but apparently i'm the only one who thinks so. i just commented on this image in your gallery. i'm glad you left it as it was. it's perfect without the gull!

Post Work is not a Crime....and I believe the Big Gull enhancers the Image Ten Fold :]

As Sheila said... I also think the gull captures the eye to much and keeps it away from the sky and light rays... have the slight feel the amazing atmosphere gets a bit lost.

I LIKE THE GULL, what if u scooted him over to the left just a tad?
