Subject: PoserWorld lock-out

Am I the only one haveing trouble loging in or compleating a subscription form on this site? I couldn't renew my subscription months ago because of this and now I can't get to the subscriptions. I had already complained to them about this but they insist that the problem is with my connection. I don't believe this because I have no problems with other sites and PoserWorld is the only one where the timer icon just runs on and on (I've waited as much as 30 minutes) with no results.

Just tried it and it works super-fast for me...sorry. :)

Some sites conflict with some of the newer security features of windows, aol, and others. You might fiddle with the settings. I can no longer get into PoserStyle or 3dcommune.

Same here - just tried - immediate response. No problems in the last 16 month... sorry! It is the best working site with poser-content (even better as DAZ and ReRo).

worked last night for me just great as usual.

Well huzzah and pip-pip! I finally got through and bought another three months. It's a good site with worthwhile stuff, this foul-up is the only complaint I've ever had. Maybe it was part of the re-adjustments they were going through.

I will say this, I did not receive an e-mail when my subscription expired. After trying to log for a day, and then denied, I went to change my password, that I found out that my subscription died. I re-newed it, and within hours, was back at the site. I just Steve and Vicki would give a "heads up" email about the subscription expiring. I was using Firefox, and it would crash at DAZ, and Poserworld. I now use Opera, as it is more stable, but for some reason, Renderosity as a whole takes forever to load, and to upload a message. DAZ, PP, Animotions, etc all seam to run fast. I just don't know if it is the PHP software that Renderosity runs on, or my broadband connection is hokey. I hope this helps. -The Starkdog

We are looking at some automated software to send the emails out Starkdog, mind we'll get complaints about spam so you can't win LOL.....Zatanna, Allen will send you an email with your password etc in it, we do this manually, but quickly, Steve

Starkdog, no, it's not your connection per se. I have a T1 (100Kb+) and Renderosity is theeee slowest site. I usually do all of my other regular site checks while waiting for one of the forums to eventually show up here. Don't know what's up, but they need to optimize their code and server. No problems with any sites on Mozilla except for the occassional credit card login which requires IE.

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.

Thanks for the quick reply Steve. I re-read my above post, and I seriously need grammer check. Any correspondance from Poserworld makes it to my mailbox safely, and not into the Yahoo bulkmail bin. Once I receive any e-mail from a Poser related site, I set it to be delivered to my inbox. I also have a Poser e-mail folder to keep such things as subscriptions and update notices. One thing you could do Steve, is once people login into Poserworld's subscription site, is to have a user screen, which would list current subscriptions/purchases, much like DAZ or Renderosity, and list the expiration date. Perhaps, that might be a better idea, then sending out massive e-mails(this will save you bandwidth). -The Starkdog

I think a reminder is a good thing, steve. Personally, I have no clue when my sub will end, and would like to be able to plan the next installment:) I guess I could go through the email to find out....heh heh! eric
