Subject: 2k digital still?

General question for one of the professionals here. If someone asks for a '2k digital image' what size is that? I'm assuming they mean 2,000 pixels width x 2,000 pixels height (or the rectangular equivalent) but I'd like to be certain... Thanks, Mark

2K in film/video resolution is actually 2048 (based on the closest binary equivalent), not the metric 2000. 1K is equal to 1024 (a number you are probably familiar with from your monitor setting...), 4K would be 4096. You will need to ask the screen ratio, as "2K" probably refers to only the horizontal resolution. This link will be helpful: http://www.celco.com/FormatResolutionTable4K.asp holly
