yawwwwwwn... what a long day... took a ton of pics, downloaded to my laptop but realized i can't use mine for the internet as my sister has wireless & i don't have this card one needs to use it... so i've confiscated hers again to see what's up before bed...
the museum Eygptian showing was, "The Quest for Immortality, Treasures of Ancient Eygpt", we ended up skipping it & just saw the rest of the museum since i have seen "Treasures of Tutankhamen" & a lot of Eypyptian stuff in London in the past... saving my $$ as there's so many other things still to see & do where i CAN take photos...
the zoo was fantastic! wonderful weather! what little snow is here is slowly melting... & the sun came out a bit... the zoo was much better then the last one i went to in San Antonio

seems I brought the sunshine with me to Denver, before I came it was 10 degrees, since then it's been unseasonably warm... beautiful weather the whole time!!!
here's another overview of some of what we've been doing... starting with a hazy long distance view of Denver, the famous Red Rocks ampitheatre, the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park where Stephen King's "The Shining" was made (redrum, redrum), Tommyknocker's Brewery in Idaho Springs sampler (burp), the Butterfly Pavillion in Westminster, the bellydancer at a Morrocan restaurant, an artist at the Indian Mart Show, the Coors Brewery (the largest brewery in the world... another burp), Buffalo Bill's grave, an old gold mine, & today we went horseback riding up through the snow & aspens (the last pic is of the Continental Divide) followed up by a long soak in natural hot springs bath in a cave at Indian Springs Spa & full body mud pack!! sigh... :D
Be back in a few days & slow dialup :P! muuuuuuuuuuah! xo :]

How did i miss these postcards Cindy???? oh, i guess because i unclick to receive ebot. These are such WONDERFUL images!!! I've always wanted to see Colorado again (saw it as a kid but barely remember). I love Stephen King, so i really enjoy that image and I'm soooooo much want a polar bear image in my collection!!! I will come back here and look again!! I'm a bit dizzy now. oh, i see you made it to the butterfly exhibit!!!! i bet you LOVED that!!! I love that bull and panorama too!!! I wanna go!!!!! Waaaaaaaaa!!!!! Cindy, do you recommend going to Denver in the summer? Have you ever been???? I'd love to take a trip out there but we can't get take vacation in the winter because winter season is our busiest time at the restaurant. We can only take vacation after Mother's Day. So happy you're back and thanks for showing these incredible images!!!! Hugz!!!!!!!!!!!
Great collages. In the second collage I have been to the Hazy view of long distance Denver(on Lookout Mountain plus a fiew other vantage points), Red Rocks, Buffalo Bills Grave, by an old goldmine(but I think it was a different one, and hiked along a ridge on the Continental Divide during a lightning storm. I think the last mentioned was my most favorite and memorable time there. I have not been to many of the spots you covered in just a few days, and I lived there many days. I didn't get out enough. I do have some nice photos of many empty beer and tequila bottles and nice glass cannibus pipes from my Colorado experience. Since moving here though, I must find other things to photograph since I figured it wise to stop misusing such substances of abuse. The Garden of The Gods in Colorado Springs is a beautiful bunch of rocks, and I hope you make it there for a visit. Enjoy the elitist/collage-town Boulder. I lived there the last three years I was in CO, and Denver for 11-12 yrs. I like it out here better. The trees are taller, the moss is pretty and green...all winter long, and it's close to the water. There's not as many pretty suntanned ladies for me to gawk at, but at least that means less skin cancer than up there. Hugz, -Jeff(coolj001) :-)
Cool. I figured you already had it covered, but I thought I'd double check just in case. I figured you could fly back up there for an overnight stay or something. (I just now noticed you are back home from your trip) Anyways, I am sure you would find the west coast a beautiful place to visit. The OR coast is very beautiful, and I live in WA, so WA is cool! California I'm not so sure about, but Carmel has some pretty white beaches. The rain forests here in WA are like something from a magical fairy tale. I love all the green stuff and wide array of plant and wildlife up here. Magnificant and beautiful forests, plus the coast is not so bad either, esp. up northern WA. You should do that sometime and stop by and say hi. I will even buy you an espresso, and we can compare cameras and gossip. :-)
I'm pitifully late for the entire Denver show it seems, someday it will be my turn for a little R&R...all work and no play makes me slightly miffed. (lol) Never been to that mountain high...I hear the air is so thin there that you run out of breath easily...I see you got a shot of a rodeo clown! []/;^)

made it!! it was dark when I got here so not much to see... but there IS snow on the ground!! :D lol.. been too long since I've spent any time in a big city... my sister has planned a lot for us to do!! Tomorrow we go to the Denver Zoo & Natural History Museum! They have a big Egyptian show there right now but she thinks there will be "no photography" allowed :P phooey!
We also plan on going to the Art Gallery & some smaller ones in the art district, the butterfly pavilion, the big Rodeo is going on for 3 weeks here, eat Moroccan & see the belly dancers, go hiking in the mountains, etc, etc! whew!
And!! She has broadband!! It's so much faster then my dial-up back home! I n c r e d i b l e!! But! I must get out & enjoy & visit & try not to drool at her speed! (my ISP will be hearing from me when I get home! hehe)
Ok, I better get some sleep! big day! Just wanted to let ya'll know I made it... & maybe later I can download a few pics if I should get any good ones!! (I better!!!) :]
xoxo, cindy
