Putting together the Main index page for my Site. Here's the question, how long (too long?) to load the images? ...and the rollovers seem to take too much time. Do they for you? (I have a feeling it's back to the drawing board) :( Thanks ICM

Looks great and works fine for me. I am on Windows xp home with 56k dialup. I only waited a couple minutes for it to load and the rollovers were almost instantaneous.

Look's stylish! I'm using a 56K dialup as well (not out of choice, mind you), and I could live with the download time :-)

I have a 4mb cable and they load ok, I can certainly live with it. OK, I didn't even notice them downloading, it was there as soon as I clicked on the button. (Not that I'm trying to make anyone jealous or anything) It's a nice site. Very swish. Looking forward to seeing more.

I'm on a 56k, it loaded just fine for me.

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

pogmahone ( ) posted Wed, 19 January 2005 at 1:15 AM

I'm on broadband, so it loaded very fast. Great domain name, and it looks great.

Claymor ( ) posted Wed, 19 January 2005 at 2:03 AM

Images load fine but I'm on cable so it is fast. Right side navigation eh? I tried that several times in my web design days and could never get a client to go for it. My eye went there first and almost ignored the center graphic but that may be because I was looking first at how quickly the nav loaded.

lordstormdragon ( ) posted Wed, 19 January 2005 at 2:04 AM

It loaded before you finished making it, here in Seattle...

Rofl.... Yeah, took like 4-5 seconds for me, GREAT looking page/site (seriously) AS

Cool looking page. Loads perfectly fine on 3Mbps cable. Now you just need some actual content for the links to go to. (I can't complain too much though, just look at one of my websites.)

really cool site. on 56k it was a pretty fast load :)

drawbridgep ( ) posted Wed, 19 January 2005 at 7:52 AM

Wow! Fast link LSD. But mine actually loaded it a week ago last tuesday. Good point about the right hand navigation. I put my r'osity one on the left too. Seems more natural. (Isn't the default right?)

Works fine for me (DSL) - only comment would be that for us folk with small monitors (me at work) the main image drops off the page, but I guess my resolution is lower then your target audience (mine 1024x768)

Looks Great! Took about 2 seconds to load.

Easy opening here. 2 seconds for the whole page and the rollovers were just fine. And the right hand navigation... I kinda like it. It's different.

Thanks Everyone, Appreciate your time. My load times were a bit choppy here with DSL, although I was using IE. I installed FireFox this morning and it loads in an instant. The right hand Nav is the same I use here at Rosity too, guess it just feels natural. Thanks for all your comments, and again for your time. ICM
