Hey guys. I am exporting from poser into maya (trinity is out..I am on mac osx) and I was wondering if their is a way to get the map files named in the mtl fie so I don't have to reassign texture maps. If I open the mtl file, I see that there are no map names listed anywhere. (For instance: I have michael with skin and clothing props loaded in poser. I export to obj but in the mtl file, there is no description for the files so in maya, I have to re-assign everything from scratch because the shading group in maya is looking for "ec4006.jpg" instead of the original map "michael_body.jpg" that the mat file in poser uses. Any suggestions? Is their somehting in poser to explicitly tell the program how to export/look for the maps used by the mat files so the mtl file exports propperly with the obj? ANY help would be appreciated!! Thanks, Wes

You might want to look at a third party app, I think p2m in the marketplace does something like that. john

Try using an app called Grouper. That sometime allows me to import/export things into Vue 4, when Poser and obj import fails.

Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.
