OK, I just got poser for Christmas and I am just playing around with it right now. Then I checked online for some downloads and what not. So my question is what directory do I put morph files in to use them in poser? Also, I downed some props and some are in weird formats, where do I put these as well? And are there any programs I need to make this whole thing easier. Open to ANY suggestions. (Except suggestions that suggest I leave.) Thanks for reading this and any help you can give. - Squeak

We odnt ahte these hoe much. Put morphs in Geometries file. Download MorphManager from Utilities section of freebies. Props that are in Poser's pp2 format go in Props folder. Others that are in formats like obj you have to import, then save to the Props library. Some props you'll find are not supported by Poser, but you can convert them with shareware utilites like Explorer 3d. ohpe this elps

The first thing you should do is read the entire book, Ya for as criptic as it is it is well worth the time to read it. I would suggest you stay with the basics for a while before jumping into Morphs and obj importing. Check every menu inside poser and try to understand what each command does. As you run into problems post here for help and everyone will help you. There is no such thing as a dumb question. There is every kind of user here from the old users to the brand new ones. Everyone here helps everyone, at the beginning you will be asking a lot of questions but in the future you will be answering them. Good luck Paul Hafeli

First off, welcome to a simply wonderful forum. Morph files can be placed in any folder. I have several folders in the Root directory of Poser. Example: Poser/vickymorphs, Poser/p4malemorphs, etc. This way you have the correct morphs in a folder that makes sense to you. As for placing files where they need to go, like pp2, cr2, obj, right now I only trust Zygote/DAZ 3D's installers. As a rule (even on a MAC) I stay away from any .exe file from the web unless I'm 100% sure it does not contain any virus. Even the best intentions of the nicest people sometimes get a virus attached in a .exe file. For the Mac there is a program that attempts to place all the nessary file in their place "Steve Cox's program" I forget the name. But it still is better in my humble opinion to follow the readme instructions and place them in the proper place manually. It is a good habit and you end up always knowing where files are going. hope this helps. James

PP2 - runtimelibrariesprops.....whateverfolder CR2 - runtimelibrariescharacters.....whateverfolder HR2 - runtimelibrarieshair.....whateverfolder FC2 - runtimelibrariesfaces.....whateverfolder PZ2 - runtimelibrariesposes.....whateverfolder etc etc... Morphs - select the body part they are for and then goto Add Morph Target (in the figures menu I think) and import the file. OBj, 3DS etc - Use the File/Import Textures (jpg, tiff, bmp etc) put anywhere you like. PZ3 files are scenes, just open them. I thinks that's most of them:) Hope that helps (I'm sure someone will correct any that are wrong:)

OK, I read throuhg the book already and I still have some questions. If I add, let's say, an article of clothing is there and way I can have it sit on the person without guiding it on there manually? (If this is in the book, I guess I missed it.)

Squeaky- Don't worry about the spelling, none of us around here can spell! Pick the item, then go up under Figure on the top menu and pick "Conform to", and select the base figure (normally figure 1) when it asks.
