Subject: Help a newbie find something?

Greetings, I am new to poser in specific and 3D in general, but I feel I am making rapid headway. Unfortunatly I am simply not far enough along to make a piece of clothing that I want for poser! I am looking for a nun costume in general and the habit to be specific... as this is merely a hobby that I have just picked up, I do not want to put any/much money into it so a free one would be preffered. --Darkechibi--

I'm not sure how much luck you'd have finding a nun's costume for free. That's a pretty specialized need. Have you looked in Renderosity Free Stuff? Look at the link at the top of the page. Be sure to select Poser to narrow down your search. It might be easier if you told us where you've looked already. You could also look in the Renderosity MarketPlace. Some stuff here is actually quite inexpensive. I don't think I've seen a nun's costume at DAZ3D. I think Poserworld had one, or maybe PoserStyle. They're subscription sites.

Honestly I couldn't tell you all the places I have been, I have hit at least 15 sites, probably more. Thank you for the kind responces and so quickly as well. I was simply hoping that this would turn it up. Of course I will take your suggestions and search here, I have been going through the free stuff methodicly, but did not really think of searching activly, I merely thought about an idea today that I could use this for and failed to think things out! I am still learning how to place things and am rather overwhelmed at all the stuff that can be gotten for free. I actually figured I had merely failed to hit the right sites as I assumed this to be a easy prop/figure, but as I said I am VERY new to all this. again thank you

For free: Ghastley has "Whimples," the hood part for the Poser 4 Nude Woman (Posette) and Vicky 1/2. He also has the habit but only for Posette if I recall correctly. From the link, select Posette in the drop-down box and scroll down through the items on the right to find them - they're not together. If you need the habit for Vicky 1/2, you can use the version included with her that has the Posette shaped body. There's also the "Morphing Dreadful Habit" here in the marketplace $15.00.

Hi, I'm extremely new too. However, if you have Poser 5; you can make your own dynamic clothing--somewhat. Look in your primitive section and locate that square piece of Hi res square cloth. You can drape that puppy over anything, shoulders, hips, chest, furniture, etc. It sort of looks like a toga if you do full length. However if you do say the chest, hips, thighs separately, it sort of looks fairly decent. I'm been having fun with it the last couple of days. Within a few days you can do your own nun's habit and you will learn the Cloth room. Plutom
