Subject: Animate something growing...need advice / help

I want to animate a imported graphic (.ai format into spline modeller) around a 3D object I made. The graphic is about the shape of the letter "C" and I want to have it come out of the top of my model and grow clockwise around the model. Is it best to use one of the modifiers to do this or does someone have a differnt way. I know in C4D you can grow an object along a spline but I haven't found this in the CS4 manual. The only thing that seems close would be the morph modifier, but it is a pain to reshape by hand. Any help is greatly appreciated...thanks

Well, you can animate it right in the spline modeller, right? You could also do it with an animated shader. . . Markd

animate it right in the spline modeller...hmmm, I'll have to check that out. I didn't know that was possible. You could also do it with an animated shader. . .never thought of that...thanks
