That'd make a good print. Looks like something you'd buy at Athena. PS; still waiting for that stir-fry!

The wait can be horrific, but the outcome can be worse - pumeco 2006

Using 3d clouds or really high altitudes can sometimes give that ragged look, although your clouds don't look that high. One technique that a lot of us use is to render at twice the required size and then re-sample the image down later, followed by a bit of unsharp mask. This can give very nice results. I hate to say it, but if you want really smooth Terragen images, you need to fork out the money. You should call in to the Terragen forum too.

There are also a few water settings that need to be turned down, though I don't remember which ones, to get more realistic water. They have to do with the way the water reflects light.

Dropping the Reflection of Lightsources value down to say 10 as a starting point, will help a lot as will increasing the reflection spread.

This is really weird. I haven't been using Terragen much recently, but in the time that I used it (the unregistered version) I never encountered this problem. Would you like to send the file to me, see if it renders out OK? IM me for e-mail address. I haven't updated to the latest Terragen, so I'll try on my current setup, then update, see if it's a bug. Wonder if files are backward-compatible.....which version are you using?

On the 'Rendering Control' panel, under the 'render settings' button, on the 'quality' tab, did you push the two sliders all the way to the right? They control accuracy of atmosphere and cloud shading.

I was in the orthographic view once and I somehow got squared shadows. The only thing I can think of for fixing those edges is to render at a higher resolution.
