Hi all, has anybody bought the LightTune module, and if so, is it any good? Does it really cut rendering time by using shadow maps? I'm thinking about buying it, and wanted some feedback first. Bruno

I have noticed a considerable speed up in my render time. What used to take about three hours takes me about half the time now. I really like the features, especially the variable light feature. Denny

I bought it a couple of days back, and I'm already wondering how I managed without it. For me so far the main advantage is being able to specify which objects are illuminated by which lights. This gives a tremendous degree of flexibility to lighting set-ups. Definitely a must-have add-on!!

I agree with the above. I simply love it, and can't think how I ever did without it. Did't try the shadow mapping yet, as it takes some tweaking of setting to get it right, and I didn't feel like trying that out in the large scene I was working on (I really don't mind long render times that much anyway - I just hit render before I go to bed, and the thing will be finished when I get home from the office next day...)

I have been using Vue 4 Pro for some time now and have recently purhcased Vue 5 with the fre light tune, botannica modules etc. One of the most useful features of Light Tune is the ability to view the object you are lighting through the light itself.
