Not sure what these lines are actually called but how do I get rid of the transparencies on the forehead and outlines of the hair (Kov LH evo v3) and the line and black transparency on the bodice of the dress (DAZ Morphing Starlet Dress)?

Thanks in advance

Make sure that you have the specular color and highlight color set to BLACK and, also, set to zero for items that use transparency. cheers, dr geep ;=].

Not sure: I'm using P5 - In the Material Room the Specular colour is Black, Specular Value is 1, Transparency is set to 1 and Transparency Cutoff is 0.6. There is no Highlight Colour setting. Thanks

Try specular value = 0.000000

Does it say Transparency_Cutoff, or Transparency_Falloff? Mine is the latter, but I suppose there could be regional variations. In any case, set that value to zero.

I don't often disagree with Little_Dragon but this time I really must. Transparency_Falloff should be set to 1 in order to get rid of the edges on a transmapped object.

Hmmm... I was just having the same problem a few days ago. I solved it by setting the trans and edge trans settings to 1 and the trans falloff to 0. (Also, I set my diffuse colour to white, but the transparent parts are black in the tex map) The really important part though is to copy your trans map to the specular channel. This way the same parts that aren't to be visible also won't be reflecting highlights.

Now, I could quite easily edit my above post and pretend I never said something stupid but I believe in honesty, so I'll let my dumb remark stand. :) I was thinking of Transparency_Edge, not Falloff. Silly me. Oh, the joys of getting old, senility, incontinence, baldness mutter, grumble...

Thanks, Tranparency Edge set to 1 did the trick!
