Subject: How to get rid of V3's breast rim thingy?

I don't know what to call this so I'm calling it a breast rim. I have made a few adjustments to V3's breasts and I can't get rid of the "rim" around the base of them. I haven't done anything extreme with them. Her full body dials are turned up slightly (a bit of young, faerie, voluptuous, skinny, muscular, only 0.1-0.3 on each).

The image has the rim coloured red on the left, and is made obvious by the shadow on the right, just so you know what I'm talking about.

Any suggestions on how to smooth this out to give nice rounded hemispheres?

Nontroppo, Are there morphs on the chest with the same names as the breast morphs? If so, you might try adjusting those to the same values that you have for the breast morphs, and see if that helps.

Where the shadow is around the base of the breast is actually part of the "chest" group (IMHO a grouping arrangement that gives some very odd results). For the upper/middle part try using the "BrstInSmooth" dial (a little bit of "StrnmNarrow" may help also). For the lower bottom part adjust the "GravCrease" and "BrstNatural" a bit. Personally I prefer to just smooth/shape the breast with postwork in Painter. SWAMP

"Personally I prefer to just smooth/shape the breast with postwork in Painter." Sadly, I just make 'em bigger. Chest & collar parts... Darn that WyrmMaster!! Pretty much every female character I use has his mags!!! I'm a bad man aren't I? sniff... sigh...... Nah... I don't care!!!

Aside from what is mentioned above, not much you can do. Breast top slope with smaller and a tad of cleavage in negative (-0.200) or lay down. adp001 has the best breast morph kit I've seen. And it offers independant movements. After that, it's magnet time.

Thanks for your replies, guys. This is going to be a character for distribution so I don't want to use magnets and morphs or postwork. I made these breasts (so to speak) using only body dials, no breast or chest dials. Anyway, I have fiddled a bit in line with your suggestions and it's looking better. Thanks again!

It's hard to tell from the picture, but does a side view show the breast shape on the end of a sort of cylinder? I think it's something to do with how some of the breast morphs interact, There's a lot of possible combinations, and some don't work well together.

As almostfm said, check fer identically named morfs in the chest & collar sections, & don' ferget the JCM morfs...they the ones that usually do this to me.

It's just a crappy design flaw of V3's. Hopefully Daz will correct this blunder with V4.

hauksdottir ( ) posted Mon, 31 January 2005 at 10:24 PM

Is it a design flaw? I thought that the breasts have always been designed like that so that underwear would look right. No braless woman looks like that in normal gravity. Carolly

shrug dunno maybe simulate silicone implants?

Farside ( ) posted Tue, 01 February 2005 at 1:15 AM

I have yet to see a woman with dark rings on the inside of her breasts, so yes I think it's a design flaw
