THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Birds and Freebies?

After readng xenic's post it got me thinking of Birds. I've noticed that the thing most lacking in the expansive skies created by Brycers, Vuers, Terrageners are birds. I'd like to populate my skies with birds. Anyone know of freebie birds out there. I've checked the Poser freebie section and there isn't anything. Remember the scene in the movie Gladiator when they do that first flyby over Rome. What really sold the immensity of the city to me was the flocks of birds flying by the Colesseum.

Do a search for "Gull" in freestuff to find the AS and digital designs seagull for poser. I'd give you the direct link but they no longer appear when you right click.

hmm..check with the Poser folks, that's likely where you'll find folks who know..don't have my database handy, but I haven't seen a lot of bird models out there, compared to everything else.

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

Regrettably, the Gull is PC only (sob).

Is the problem that it's in zip instead of sit format?

If you want to try still birds there are about 6 different 3ds poses of a generic bird at creepyclown. Not great for closeups but should work for a distant view.

Also try 3DCommune, 3DCafe for bird models.

Attached Link: Nitro's birds

It's not free but I thought ten dollars was very good value for Nitro's flock of birds in the store here.

I used them in the pic I have in the Bryce gallery here.

(Sorry to butt in here after a long absence... computer crash 'n stuff.)

Yes, I picked that out and UV Mapped it to give it a swallow colouring. I am really pleased with them :)
