Subject: Excuse the weirdness

Yeesh ... been looking at my posts and stuff over the last few days and noting that apparently I've lost the ability to spell and at times actually put together a coherent sentence. Sorry about that guys. Just so you know, my department at work is under a bit of extra stress right (we live on the normal stress). We found out a week ago that we are going to lose one position in our shop. Of course, they don't know which position or which person. So, we are waiting for the axe to fall on someone in the next week or so. Kind of tough as I've worked with most of these guys for 5-6 years. Get along and like them so well that it's more common than not that if guys stop by for something on their days off they'll hang around for an hour or two to shoot the breeze and get caught up with guys on the other side of the week (we work 4 10hr shifts broken in the middle on Wednesdays). So, anyway, kind of been distracted these days. So, forgive any weird spellings or ramblings. :) -=>Donald

Thats one reason I hesitate to re read things I type. I would delete it all. Been there and done that on the waiting around.Bad news was they got rid of all of us tradesmen in that place to contract out services. Good news is if you have a trade it is easy to jump right back in. Good luck!

:( feel for you Donald going through same sorta thing - we are on short time working and lots of talk of closure. Comes from working for a manufacturing company, nobody will make anything here(UK) soon.
Typos are a constant problem why I try to avoid using the word 'shot' in comments because I have been known to miss the 'o' and hit the key next to it :)

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

[I had a smart-ass remark all ready, like "Eeird? You? What do you mean?"] sigh No security, no loyality, no good times... What more can Corporate (America) take away. So much for the Ownership Society...

I'm so sorry for your troubles, Donald. that's a really tuff position to be in. the waiting around for the proverbial axe to fall is the hard part. verrrry stressful. i wish you didn't have to go through this. either way it will be hard, but i do hope the axe won't fall on you. richard, i'm sorry about your situation, too. that really sucks!! sigh the ways of the world are changing. weird to think that people won't be making things anymore. Everything is being geared toward robotics???? is that what's happening?? I hope that something will happen that they get some contracts or something and ya'all will have some more work. I hope you both hangin' tuff. I agree 100% with Misha. don't worry about misspellings and grammar and stuff. Jeesh, i'm like doug, if i reread everything i wrote i would just delete it all! hugz

ppppppppht! typos! yep... one of these day I'll miss it where I've mistyped "nice sh*t", like Richard, having to constantly fix that, lol, even seen others do that, guess it's still considered complementary :] hang in there guys!

Reminds me of the time I typed at the very top of our nightly passdown (the one we send to my manager, the head of our department and the plant manager) "Nice shift!" Of course, I forget the "f". :) I'm really not all that worried about myself. I've got an engineering BAS, 20 years of programming experience and 15 years network experience (and yes, I started working on computers before I even hit puberty). Finding a position oht here shouldn't be that hard. It's some of the other guys I worry about. Oh well ... another 4 days before they make their decision and hopefully they'll let us know right after that. :/ -=>Donald
