Subject: Why is the volumetric fog black :(.

I needed to add some fog to my pic & it was black instead of white :(. And yes the color was set to white. I tried messing with the settings to no avail. I posted over at E-ON as well in case this is a bug. Using V5P/latest update TIA

Hmm, I can't reproduce this. Using V5, latest official update, and the default atmosphere which is then switched to volumetric. If I add white fog, I get white fog. Was your fog black on render as well as in preview?

What % has your fog(s). what colors?... And so on.
That is not a soft bug, of course!

Ah ok. On an object.... Well it is not a bug. I confirm.
Play (learn) lighting and effect tab indeed (i.e. luminous). Good luck.

Thank You Phoul!...I've never seen this before...my fog always used to come out white.... Off to learn/play ;).

Ah, I misunderstood. I thought you meant the fog in the volumetric atmosphere. I guess that what you have is indeed working as intended.

Well, I messed with lighting...luminous & all the other settings to no avail.

At this point it must be the mats themselves...These are from Vue4.....I believe these are from Boos-addons here in store(off to check to be sure)...ALL of them are not working..I have about 10-15. These include fire/neon/dust etc.

Going to redownload & see if this helps. COlor me stupid with all this....so mind boggling....need more coffee LOL Edited to say these are NOT Boos addons...off to research where I got these from - sigh -

It's in the node editor...how V5 is reading the mat thru the nodes...I copied settings from a "smoke" mat that WAS working. So...all is well. Whew...that was heavy LOL
