3 pictures in the Bryce Hot 20, ( on Monday, February 7, 2005 1:26 CST), are it worth to be there. (overdone!) What for a disgrace! What a pity! Art on this web-side, becomes more and more rarity!

I view the hot 20 as more of a popularity contest and less of an indication of artistic ability(jmo)...it's sad but true, you are not the first to feel ths way.

I'm not sure what the issue is here. Are you saying that someone has 3 pictures in the H20 at the same time? The reason I ask is because I had 3 in there at the same time. Believe it or not I did try and space them out so that didn't happen. I don't ask for people to vote for my images. Believe it or not I haven't been here all that long on Renderosity. Maybe I'm not understanding the way things work here, but I assumed that being in the H20 was a good thing. I thought it was a testament to your work.

@Zhann If you look at my gallery you will notice the views on my images only range from about 300 - 600 views per image. When I submit on Epilogue my images get 5000 - 8000 views per month. My point is I wouldn't exactly call the exposure you get on Renderosity Popular.

@Robert J. I'm just curious about Rochr...Do the people that ask him to do a commission piece pay him for his work because he's an all around nice guy? Or is it because of the professional quality to his work???

I upload my images here because when I first started doing Bryce I really enjoyed the environment of the Bryce forum. Somehow It just doesn't seem nearly as friendly anymore. Since I almost always do post work in Photoshop after I do an image, I think I'll post in the Mixed media gallery, that way The other Brycers can submit thier works without fear of me cluttering up thier H20. You know I understand why Pogmahone and others feel the way they do. The difference in me and her is I won't give anyone the satisfaction of pulling my gallery. Instead I will post in another forum. Maybe after all the good people on this forum have left then maybe things will change around here.

the fact that Picasso could whip out a masterpiece in 45 minutes didn't make him any less an artist..;) life's unfair, some people are just good (at least Pablo Picasso was never called an a**hle..;)

Hythshade, the way I read the original post was that, in his opinion, there were three pics in the 20 that didnt deserve to be there. No names mentioned, of course, that way nobdys exactly sure who was being slagged off. Paranoia sets in. Im sure it doesnt refer to three by the same artist. I also cant see that it would refer to your stuff. It deserves every vote it gets and I for one would be disappointed if you posted to another gallery cos Id probably miss seeing them.

Once again this is very unfortunate! Isn't it great to have free speech and get people upset. (said with sarcasm)

That's why I was asking ;-) I wasn't sure what they meant.I guess it was the fact that he remarked (Overdone!!!) I mean what else could that mean? BUt at the same time it doesn't really matter what he meant. The point is everytime someone submits a piece into the Bryce section there is almost always some issue within this forum about it being there. Be it mine or someone elses work. Whatever happened to just doing the work because of the enjoyment you get from it.

@Ang I'm not upset... I am merely utilizing my right to free speech. ;-) If my opinion differs from everyone elses, then so be it. That's just how I feel.

@Sambucus I'll just have to wait and see what I will do. Maybe things will calm down here. I just like to do my art without the extra added benefit of having to listen to all the whining. I joined this forum to learn about Bryce. Not to learn about how this person is not really an artist...Just popular.

As far as I gathered, the point was that there were three pics worth being on Hot20. Edit: Sheesh, just saw that Claymor said the same thing. But at least we agree. :-) BTW, Hythshade, epilogue is not accessible at the moment.

Guys, the Hot20 'is what it is', and complaining about it doesn't accomplish anything. So leave it be.....

Sorry, if there was a misunderstanding! My english is not good... I meant, that only 3 great images (or only two), are in the h20. To "Hythshade": One of your images are one of the great works in my opinion! But enough. It's always the same discussion... Nothing becomes better!
