I posted a thread last night ("Realistic Dog Piddle") and checked back later and had several replies,.....posted a response to those replies and went to bed. When I got up this morning,........my response was missing,........I tried to post another response and it wouldn't post,........so I closed my browser(Mozilla Firefox) and emptied my cache and cleared my history folders,........when I went to "temp internet files" I saw cookies from sites I haven't been to in months ! I mean 7 or 8 months. Could you guys please check the dog piddle thread and tell me how many reponse's from me you see(I only see 1). This is very wierd. OK, I'm off to run a virus scan and a spyware sweep. Thanks for your attention.

  1. Realistic dog piddle ? by sackrat on 2/6/05 16:08 [Printer Friendly] OK,.......I've got a problem,........I need someone to help me make a decent looking puddle of doggie piddle(urine),.....the puddle is made of metaballs and I can't get it to look anywhere near real(see attached WIP image),.......I've tried near everything I can think of(adjusted transparency, reflection, specularity, etc.). I might change the floor texture itself,........that might have something to do with it,.......I dunno. Anybody got any ideas ??? Thanks for your attention. sackrat. 2. Re: Realistic dog piddle ? by Ang25 on 2/6/05 16:13 roflmao, I had that happen today only it wasn't piddle it was poo. My doggie came up to me and looked so sad, I thought she needed to go out, boy was a surprised when I found out I was too late :-D Sorry, I can't help with the whole realism thing. I like the scene you have set up tho. 3. Re: Realistic dog piddle ? by drawbridgep on 2/6/05 16:20 Did you try just the default water texture and making it, er slightly yellow? 4. Re: Realistic dog piddle ? by blonderella on 2/6/05 17:34 I know they've got a spilled milk .pp2 prop freebie for Poser at www.fast3d.co.uk...if you have Poser, maybe you could load it there and then into Bryce?? you could change the colour from white to yellow...just a thought... 5. Re: Realistic dog piddle ? by Erlik on 2/6/05 19:49 Have you tried a terrain/lattice? It might look better. 6. Re: Realistic dog piddle ? by Claymor on 2/6/05 22:46 Try using a lattice that has blurred edges. That will give you a flat surface that slopes down around the edges. I used it to do spilled beer which looks a lot like what you're after. :) If I can find the pic I'll post that part of it. 7. Re: Realistic dog piddle ? by FuzzyShadows on 2/6/05 23:51 Attached Link: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=877383&Start=37&Sectionid=8&filter_genre_id=0&WhatsN Here's ya a reference photo. :) I just thought it was funny that your message and the photo was posted the same day. 8. Re: Realistic dog piddle ? by pogmahone on 2/7/05 03:47 As a long-time expert on pee-on-carpet...if it's carpet it doesn't stay on top. It soaks in, and on that part of the carpet the colours just get much stronger and darker, with a nice wet sheen ;o) 9. Re: Realistic dog piddle ? by sackrat on 2/7/05 11:37 OK,.......thanks for the input everyone,........I'll try a terrain,........tried the spilt milk and didn't work out. @Fuzzy,.......yeah I saw the photo,.....poor pup, he looks so embarrassed.
