Right after I purchased P5, I did taste the Cloths room, but not as much. Then for the last few days, I took the cloths room more serious. I am really surprised the Dynamic cloths hasn't taken off since P5's been around as much as comforming outfits. I only see dresses, and not bodysuits or other. Now, I am wondering, has anyone taken a conforming outfit and made it dynamic? Can this be done? Or is their a bigger process. How can I do this? <

That's a very good question, I'd like to know too. However, me thinks it's a bigger process. Plutom

Check PhilC's site, PhilC.net. He has a tutorial on how to make conforming clothing into dynamic.

And there is a tutorial by Serge Marck on how to get from conforming to dynamic on his site poserfashion.net -Martin

Yesterday's the past, tomorrow's the future, but today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.

Unless the clothing intersects the figure (see my tutorial) or has unwelded seams (use the grouping tool/weld button) the OBJ file of most conforming clothing can be used as dynamic cloth.

PhilC

Using your tutorial. "Converting Poser 4 clothing into Dynamic Clothing for Poser 5" I would think it will also relate to V3 conforming outfits or any. I am having problems after,"Delete original Figure". I encountered with nothing to export. I feel there is an extra step missing or I am doing something wrong. For example I select on part of the outfit, then grouping tool, Invert, then Spawn. Repeat with other parts. Then delete original. Is this correct?

There's the V3 QuickSuit by Thip at PoserStyle.com, which is all one mesh.

Thanks nruddock. I have bodysuits, but they are conforming ones "Conform to". I like to see/convert a bodysuit to dynamic.

If there is nothing intersecting the body have you tried just using the clothing OBJ file? A quick work around for intersecting parts is to set them into the constrained group. For a figure hugging body suit like the one you mention try assigning everything to the constrained group. When its that tight will there be any difference to the conforming version? Try it and see.

As to why you were left with nothing after deleting the figure, you either did not spawn the prop or deleted it or .... ???? but for that I think I'd need to be watching over your shoulder as you did it :)

"but for that I think I'd need to be watching over your shoulder as you did it :)" Yes, that would be nice. I have lost my head (got a headache now) for the time being on this. And it is prob not hard to do. Although, I tried many tricks on my own and also the tutors. I am using a bodysuit I have purchased here, that I am trying to convert to Dynamic. I am not having any success.
