The meeting of two worlds... The one of the small fishermen with their traditionals boats of wood, and this big monster of the seas which carry thousands of passengers and cars.... For me it's like the fight of the good and the evil. But I am not certain that what you call "civilization" is well that of which you think !

Very nice comparison between these two types of boat :)

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

Hi Cynlee, Nice to meet you here also. And thank you for the message on Giancarlo's photography I've put on his gallery. Since I haven't make his memorial website, I'll try to put a photography every day for him. This photo of the boats is one of the 130 we've made together when we go for a day with our friend fisherman Serge, in Carqueiranne. Photography has always been one of our passion, and I continue. That make me feel neerer to him every time. I miss him... each instant, and it's very hard to continue alone.... Here is the thumb, sorry I've forgot it. Have a nice evening. Nathalie
