Hi, We cannot change usernames at this time. Thanks Stacey Renderosity Admin

So, is there a way to access your old username when you change ISPs? When I switched, I no longer had access to my gallery or username, so I had to choose a new name and start a new gallery. Isn't there some way that this could be avoided?

Changing ISPs should not make any difference to logging in. You should just log in with your old username and email and then update your email account in your profile.

Sorry, I still don't get it. How can you log in with your old email when you no longer have it. When you change ISPs you change email accounts. If you were angelfire@aol.com, you're now angelfire@netzero.com, or whatever. When you try to log in, you get a message saying your username and password don't match your email address. I'm pretty happy with my present ISP, but if I should change sometime in the future, I'd like to still keep my present account here.

Your username isn't your email address, it's just your username. EG my login details - username karen1573, password XXXX. Not karen1573@hotmail.com or whatever. If I tried to login as karen1573@hotmail.com I would get an error message - since that isn't my username.

Thanks, karen. My memory's not what it used to be. It's just that I used to post here a couple of years ago under "Angelfire13". When I switched from netzero to peoplepc, I couldn't post to my old gallery. I would get an error message saying something to the effect that that username and password did not match my email. I'm sorry that I don't remember the specifics, but I do know that I had to change to Angelfire999 because since Angelfire@ netzero no longer existed, the username associated with it couldn't be used. Like I said, that's been 2 or 3 years ago, so maybe it's changed and it doesn't matter what email address you have as long as you remember your username and password. Or maybe I forgot my password and couldn't have it emailed to me because the password could only be mailed to the old email address. Thanks for taking the time to deal with a senior citizen. Ouch!

I can't remember the site ever requesting the email address to log in with so I'm guessing it was that your password didn't match. "Or maybe I forgot my password and couldn't have it emailed to me because the password could only be mailed to the old email address." That would make sense, yes - in a case like that you could always email Admin and they could try to reset your account manually :-)
