It's a WONDERFUL model. I agree with you on best you have done. But, you know how you can't please everyone (smile). Would be nice if there was a "dirty" texture for it. WIth that much detail available on the deck (much better than your last one), it's a shame the deck work has to look like it was just launched instead of having some leftover blood marks, paint, and regular wear-n-tear (smile). Still, amazing modeling!

wow...awesome.. with the sails as separate, I think it would be easier to texture them...burned, bombed, and bulleted :) great stuff....unfortunately, I have to probaqbly wait way until July before i can buy this baby...have to pay the taxman

It's a dandy that's for sure!! Unfortunately I'm in the same boat as Dave-So. Very little will be purchased for the next six months, I'm afraid....but it will definitely be on my "someday I'm gonna get this" wish list :) I suspect I will export a .pz3 for use in Vue. I can get a lot more stuff going there than I can in P5 :)

What year for the ship? I'm thinking Hornblower, but it would be a shame to aim a cannonball at a proud lady like this! Carolly

1766 is the year it was first launched. So it's about 30 yrs before Hornblower's time. (but the ships' designs didn't change all that much in that time... Hankster's Victory would actually be closer to Hornblower's time) And don't you dare put a cannonball thru this beauty !!! ;) OK, Chuck, just because you asked, I started on a new "dirty" texture, I'll post pics for review as I go. (Sorry no smart-propped barnacles) ;) I'm also working on a QTVR tour of the ship. I'll have that ready soon too.(Cool stuff !) Thanks for your support, all of you !

No mimic-ready barnacles singing "Barnacle Bill the Sailor" with French accents? :( I thought you took care of your customer's wishes! :sniff: Just kidding. A ship as spiffy as this is undoubtedly kept sanded and scraped. Thanks for the date on her. Given the investment in such a ship (the size of the timbers, etc.) they were probably kept sailing as long as possible. Carolly
