Some good camera work there, good DoF and great lighting.

SAMS3D ( ) posted Sun, 13 February 2005 at 5:20 AM

Was this Vue 5 or Vue Pro 5.....? I love what you did, can't wait to get mine, but I am debating on whether it should be Vue 5 or Pro? Can you assist me.

Mazak ( ) posted Sun, 13 February 2005 at 5:48 AM

The pictures were made with the features of Vue5. I own atm Vue5 Pro Studio and I ordered Vue 5 Infinite from e-on. I really love the new features of Vue5. I play with it more than I ever played with Vue4. Sharen, Mike, wait for the release of Vue5 Infinite, I promise you will not be disappointed. (I go the hard way with all the updates from Vue4 Vue5... V5 Pro Studio... V5I; and I waste a lot money) ;-) Mazak

Is Vue 5 Infinte the full program and more...cause if so...I will wait. Sharen

Hop over to E-on's site and see, Sharon. Infinite is the successor to Vue4Pro, and takes things to an entirely new level. Just as a taste: Mover 5 is integrated into it out of the box. There is an Ecosystem capability now; you can specify items onto an ecosystem 'layer', and the program will scatter those items about throughout the entire scene. Look for the Ecocity flyover that Phoul did. Your eyes do not deceive you...those -are- the Dystopia city blocks that Mobius 87 did (the 001-010 freebies in the Poser section here). You can scatter just about anything with this function (and that includes the wind reactive trees from Professional. Whole forests swaying in the wind). Output as a layered .psd file (one that has been confirmed to work in PSP 8 & 9, as well as photoshop). Animated texture alpha planes are in. You can bake the GI lighting into the texture of a static item, speeding up rendertime for animating. You can do spherical panoramic rendering in Infinite. You can resize the world browser and preview window. That is just a very few of the options in Infinite. The printer friendly comparison between Infinite and V5ProStudio is 11 pages long...and most of the options are Infinite only. You want to wait... Oh, almost forgot. They have time dependant noise now, so you can create things like open ocean waves, and they have some seriously new memory management; one of the demo shots had billions of polygons in it.

Oh. And the upgrade price from Vue4 Pro to Infinite is $149

war2 ( ) posted Sun, 13 February 2005 at 7:56 AM

mm v5I is on a completely new level even when compared to v4pro or v5esprit. but i actually ended up buying v5esprit aswell :) even tho i had first stated i would wait for v5I to be publicly released, but thing is i decided i wanted a second vue5 on another computer and buying 2 copies of v5infinite felt alittle to expensive so getting vue5e for that rig and then using the upgrade from v5e to v5I for my main computer ended up being quite affordable.

And if you live on the wrong side of the Atlantic 149 ;-) But that is another story :P Mazak

I will definately upgrade to Infinite as soon as it is ready. That will be so much fun and I can't wait. Thanks for the info and Mazak again, great pictures. Sharen

SAMS3D ( ) posted Sun, 13 February 2005 at 1:49 PM

Well I just pre-ordered the Vue 5 Infinite....can't wait now....till March....oh my gosh, this is going to be a long wait, but I did it.....Yahooooooo. Sharen

war2 ( ) posted Sun, 13 February 2005 at 4:44 PM

judging by the number of people i know that has ordered(pre) v5I its looking like a nice little success for e.on, i just hope v5I will get released without any major showstoppers so we all can enjoy vue from here to infinity in all its glory :)

Is this post adware? Dale what are you on?

Ah, gooey....We Vuer's are just excited about what's up & coming, some are just more vocal than others. I'm always excited when the software I use gets upgraded & new advances in technology are applied. I'm excited as well, that said, I'm hoping for a puffy cloud/water(as in falls etc) add-on via python or modules when Cornacopia3d website is launched :)

So...Dale-B...party on :) WOOT! ROFL XLT pics Mazak :)

Me? I'm on the jazz. What else? :D And that wasn't an ad; it was a cold and deliberate manipulation of Sharen's roaring lust for excellent graphical goodness. An excited modeller has to bleed all that excess energy off somewhere...and it usually is at the keyboard. >:) Besides, I snagged a copy of the feature list when E-on accidentally activated it a few weeks early, and I've been sitting on it like a good doobie. Now it's out, I can =finally= talk about some of this stuff!!
