Someone help me with the dang 'render to disk' thing, I need to get these darn images rendered and zipped. Ok, B5 on PC, I select render to disk option, pop in 4000x3000, 300dpi, click the check and it starts to render, BUT, I can't minimize the frellin' window! Bryce won't let me do anything except watch it go row by row, column after column...so how can I get the bloody thing down so I can do other stuff? Tried the alt-tab, doesn't do squat.....any suggestions? Please, please, please, with cream and a cherry on top...=(

Dunno. My top tool bar stays when I try it. Have you tried the windows key? Or Alt-Tab?

4000x3000 - can't you do that in the normal render to screen thingy by setting it to 1000x750 res and the x4 option down the bottom? I'm pretty sure I've done that once or twice to get largish renders out.

That way you could skip the whole render to disk process (as long as bryce render to screen takes 4000 pixel images).

i just press the windows(tm) key then when the bottom taskbar comes up, i hit the 'show desktop' icon.

rj is wise. also, when rendering to disk, i've never had a problem minimizing it. but still: Windows Logo+M: Minimize all windows then just click on what you need :)

Yup...Windows Logo Key....Right button click on the bryce button on the bar....hit minimize in the sub menu. I do it now by instinct.

Unless you're using an IBM computer, which doesn't have a windows key...

I can just go up to the minimize button on the um, whats that top bar thing called? only there when the mouse is? I checked last night and again just now, the minimize button work fine for me.

Zhann ( ) posted Tue, 15 February 2005 at 11:25 PM

The top bar won't show for some reason, the win key and M worked on one computer but not the other (both PC with XP0 this is such a pain to render things that big....=

You can always hit Ctrl+Alt+Del, in XP this will either give you the task manager straight up, or the login screen, where you can get the task manager. This should unlock the desktop.
