Subject: Well the real Angelina Jolie please sit down

Cause I am looking for clones here.

Okay, old news perhaps, and I know I have seen several look a likes floating around. But, now that I want one, can not find them anymore. Need the best look a like AJ you can suggest, for V2 or V3. Wanting to try doing a Lara C pic - why? Who knows. Just a wild hair. And I want the movie Croft (AJ) look, so any help finding a good look a like morph would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Gwendolyn's Nova might fit the bill, with dark hair she would look like her.

There has been a great morph for Vicky 2 in the marketplace, by Graphicsmuse, but I can't seem to find her anymore, not even in my purchases.

IronBear had one. I think it was at 3DArena and maybe at Rotica too

Thanks for the info. I am still looking, but these give me some options. Nova has promise, also was able to contact GraphicsMuse and his V2 morph is available on his web site: http://www.graphicsmuse.com. Saw the outfit by Pretty3D, looks very nice. I know IronBear had his Project Lara, which is supercool! Have it. But none of the face morphs were as close to AJ as I wanted. I have seen some very good look a likes - and some that were good attempts. Hoping to track down one that is spot on to my eyes. So, keep those suggestions coming. :O)

Hehe, GraphicsMuse real name is Natalie - qualifies for more for a girl than a guy ;-)

I am working on one for Vicki 3, inspired by AJ, she'll be done soon.

Hi Handspan, I am working on one (just a morph) too. Mine still needs a bit more work, but I think is getting there. No texture yet (texture work is not my strong suite, so using the one by Gwendolyn for Nova for now). Also would love to find a good french braid hair (like AJ had as LC in the first TR movie). Not had a lot of time, because of some real life stuff which has been cutting into my Poser time, but the attached render gives some idea of where I am at. Again, still needs work. (The pic is composite of an AJ photo for the background rendered in Poser with just V3 head with face morph and a hair prop positioned in front).

Interesting to see another artist's take on the same face. Mine wasn't quite done either. I've made the eyes a little smaller and got the shape better since then. I'll post one more render when she's finished, hope you will do the same.

Yes, I agree. I also find it interesting how much the real AJ looks can change (to my eyes) from picture to picture, based on hair style, camera angle, etc. Here is another render I did, showing a straight on side by side comparision of my morph and a pic of AJ when she was younger. Ultimately, I would like to get the look she had as Lara Croft. Not sure when I will finish mine, but will be glad to post it. Would love to see your finished version also.

You guys don't mind me sitting here, lurking and drooling over AJ, do, ya? ;) They look both great to me already!

shadownet ( ) posted Mon, 14 February 2005 at 8:30 PM

hehe...sure pull up a chair and oogle away...hehe :O) @handspan - I like the eyes on your's alot, though agree they needed to be smaller, still you got the shape much closer to AJ than I have been able to do so far. Is that a custom morph or dial tweaking? :O)

HandspanStudios ( ) posted Mon, 14 February 2005 at 10:13 PM

The whole face is a few hundred little magnet morphs, believe it or not. That's how I always do mine.

Fantastic job! I do the magnet thing too sometimes, but this go around just fiddled with the dials. Definitely looking forward to seeing yours when you get if finished. :O)

HandspanStudios ( ) posted Tue, 15 February 2005 at 4:38 AM

Thanks. Just the dials? That's amazing really. I can't ever get what I'm trying for with them.

Are both of these going to be for sale? If so, then mabye you can collaborate on the project instead of being each others competition.

Just posted a Kill Lara picture to the gallery, if any one is interested.

@milabmer42 - I will probably market my AJ morph (or whatever I call the final version) if/when I get it done. Not sure what HandspanStudios plans to do, but I would be willing to collaborate, rather than complete, if there is mutal interest in doing so. Truth is HandspanStudios has a pretty good store and reputaion, so it may not be as attractive an idea. Particularly after a lot of time and hard work has already gone into making something. Fooling with all those magnets to make the head morph can be very time consuming indeed. Then to suggest splitting up the profit by collaberating with someone else who has a similar morph - that may not make for good dollars or sense.

HandspanStudios ( ) posted Wed, 16 February 2005 at 2:50 PM

Thanks for the suggestion. It is normally a good idea to collaborate, I've enjoyed the projects I've done that with but I am almost finished with this one. I don't think I'd characterize myself as competing anyway. I think that an infinite number of artists can paint a subject and they will all be different and worth doing/looking at.

Just about done and should be available in about two weeks I'm guessing.
