I REEEEEEEALLY hope that whoever takes over that website manages to get the damnable login to work. :grumble: 3 days now. Again. And yes, I've cleared my cookies. I've defragged (daily). I've jumped through hoops. I've jumped through hoops backwards. I hate the stupid short-circuit through the login screen and around to it. Again and again and again and again. Not me....... I am having the same problem as Carolly, everytime I enter my info and hit login, it just either sends me back to a blank login screen, or the forum but not as logged in. :( I am getting really sick of it quite honestly, I hope it is fixed soon. :( -Tif

I had the same problem yesterday. Deleted my Poser Pros cookies to no avail. Since I deleted both my Poser Pros and DAZ cookies I have had no problem. I use Opera.

Do remember it's the DAZ webteam who have to fix it, so it could be years.... >:-> bonni

The last time this happened, maybe a week or so ago, the OTHER site affected was DAZ. I'm not sure if the domains had gotten themselves merged at that time or no. But I did get into PP tonight by asking for yet another password (as well as clearing cookies caches, etc.) and reactivating. (We'll see how long it lasts, but I'm not optimistic.) Apparently a lot of other people are having the same problem (2 threads about it), and the merchants and admins are also affected. If customers can't shop and merchants can't respond manage their stores and even the admins are staring at that login-loop-de-loop, somebody might fix it. :< Folks can chatter elsewhere, but a merchant who has a site there is probably chewing their nails to the second knuckle about now. Hmmmm, I'm getting in OK too. I'm also using Firefox if that makes a difference.

Ardiva ( ) posted Thu, 17 February 2005 at 4:16 PM

I found out it's because the cookies from PP now are set to expire very quickly. Take a look at them and you will see for yourself.

hauksdottir ( ) posted Thu, 17 February 2005 at 8:14 PM

Very quickly? I went back last night, out of curiosity, and hit the same wall. If it is a matter of staying glued to the site or never getting back, well, guess what? There are a hell of a lot of other sites where long-standing members don't have to take a sledge hammer to the door. There are tales of members who have to re-login for every forum they want to read. :ptui: Carolly Who Has Better Things to do With Her Time

Yes, "Very quickly" - like a minute or so. :(

hauksdottir ( ) posted Thu, 17 February 2005 at 9:00 PM

A minute or so? Were they bought by Evelyn Wood Speed Readers and Associates? :roll eyes:

Ardiva ( ) posted Thu, 17 February 2005 at 9:11 PM

Could be! lol

hmmm i use Firefox and it pukes :-(

IE, however, works fine.

did the clear cookie dance and the reboot and clear cache dance too with Firefox, didn't help.

i prefer to use Firefox, though, cause it allows me to change the font size so i dont have to have a microscope to read the text.

Ardiva ( ) posted Thu, 17 February 2005 at 9:59 PM

Well my cookies for PP worked just fine in Firefox until this Daz Deal. :(

Online Now!

It seems to be OK now for me - I deleted cookies for poserpros.daz3d.com AND daz3d.com, and it stops trying to log me into PP as someone else. :) Or, they may just have fixed it. :D

Ardiva ( ) posted Wed, 23 February 2005 at 8:54 AM

Hmmm...I never got someone else's username to login as, but I'm STILL having problems staying logged in. I deleted all cookie references to anything related to daz3d and nothing's working right.

hauksdottir ( ) posted Wed, 23 February 2005 at 12:09 PM

When it gets fixed, let me know. Until then, I do have better things to do with my time. If that affects the merchants there, I'm sorry... but I will not reactivate every few minutes just because some code monkey in China doesn't know how to set up a website. (I'd heard that DAZ has hired Chinese programmers to help with Studio, but have no idea who they have working on the websites. Whomever it is seems to have a problem with scrambled identities, so I suspect that it isn't a native English speaker... perhaps someone with a different alphabet altogether.) Carolly

Ditto, Carolly!
