You can see them when you go to order. I posted them yesterday. Here they are again. Not very demanding, really.

*** Windows 2000 or XP

  • 500 MHz Pentium class or compatible (700 Mhz or faster recommended)

  • 256 MB system RAM (512 MB or more recommended)

  • OpenGL enabled graphics card or chipset recommended (recent NVIDIA GeForce and ATI Radeon preferred)

  • 24-bit color display, 1024 x 768 resolution

  • 500 MB free hard disk space

  • Internet connection required for Content Paradise**

I'm wondering if a fairly old version of Poser could upgrade to Poser 6? = )

There are separate upgrades. I think it's $20 more to upgrade from P4/PP. If you're running P3, I think you're out of luck.

Win Me!!! Holy crap, I'm sorry! You know you can probably get a 98 or 2000 copy pretty cheap. It would be worth the upgrade.

don't really want to downgrade to rubbishy 98!! lol.. I've never had a prob with win me. And XP is a pile of poo.. so no poser 6 for me or Photoshop CS..

98 isn't supported either. You could get 2000. Since XP is very similar to 2000, most software runs on it, unlike in the old days.

I used 98 for years, but I have to say...life's been a hell of a lot easier since I switched to XP. So much more stable, so much easier to add peripherals, so much more time to play and less time spent pulling my hair out. I recently switched a friend of mine from ME to XP, and he's been very happy with the results.

If you don't like that authorization thing, get XP Pro. No authorization with that version.

Besides, you can't use ME forever, and I have a feeling you'll prefer XP to Longhorn.

I Have Poser 6 running on Win ME only for 30 Minutes but I've completed 1 simple test render so far no problem! Nigel
