Hi all, here's an update on my spitfire project. I've finshed the modeling and the UV-mapping and have now started to work on a bump map and on the textures.

Soon to be found in the free stuff section.

My little pilot from my latest project (the PZL) will probalby fly this bird too :)

Oh yeah! This is sooooosweeeeet! Thanks so much. This opens up doors for all kinds of historical aero rendering. Not only is there the whole WW2 thing, but the Egyptians went on to fly Spitfires against the Isrealis who were in Me109's.

One of the most beautiful planes ever built and the designer (Mitchel) lived and built the first one about a mile from where i lived. Woolston, Hampshire, England. A great model has been made and will be a must for any Brycer. Well done.

Fantastic. The wing roundels actually look a little too large, but I haven't seen the markings of every Spitfire squadron ever, so if you're using good reference material and it looks right from there, ignore that. I will want this model when it is available.

I'd suggest going to my web site and downloading the Bryce Gyrocopter free item (URL attached). It's a sci-fi model but has convincing blurred rotor blades and ducted fans, and you can pull it apart to see how to do the same on models like this one. Saves post work to get blurred blades.
