Subject: How does the level bracket work?

I make a mountain and i try to take off the square edge and just have the rest part but it never works. I go to the tutorials on this site and they say use the level bracket but i can never get the braket to go to a hight of nothing (red) it always goes black or white. Can any1 help

Click and drag on the Bracket, not the Gradient. Hope this helps.

You need to grab the clipping bracket 'outside' of the track from the bottom and move it up....
