I just recieved this from my wife, she got it from where she works. Recently, several employees have been exposed to a virus known as W32/Hybris.gen@M (Aka, Snow White and the seven dwarfs). This is an Internet worm which can be received by email. Typically these messages will make reference to, "Snowhite and the Seven Dwarfs". If run, this worm modifies the WSOCK32.DLL file, after which, an attempt is made to mail a copy of the worm to all mail recipients whenever email messages are sent out. You cannot be infected by simply receiving this email, the attachment must be executed or run in order to infect your computer. Virus Characteristics Email may arrive from an infected user in this format: From: Hahaha [hahaha@sexyfun.net] Subject: Snowhite and the Seven Dwarfs - The REAL story! Body: Today, Snowhite was turning 18. The 7 Dwarfs always where very educated and polite with Snowhite. When they go out work at mornign, they promissed a huge surprise. Snowhite was anxious. Suddlently, the door open, and the Seven Dwarfs enter... Attachment: executable file Symptoms Mail recipients claiming they received an attachment from you when one was never sent skee

This is an actual virus! But we should probably not be posting virus stuff here. If there's ever a question about one, just go to symantec's anti-virus center and look it up. Thanks for your good will-- Nan

hey I got one of those! I didn't open it of course, I never open attatchments that I'm not expecting. I just deleted the email straight away. I was wondering where the hell it came from hehe.

From what I've seen, virus warnings belong in Forum News and TEam Contact, but thanks for posting anyway!

not everyone reads forum news and Team Contact so it was a good idea to post here and a small hint get a email virus scanner that scans email while getting downloaded is a bit slower but it helps for the ones that can execute by them selves
