Pleased for you, Ronald and your family Shiela and thank you for updating us. Very welcome good news :) Richard
And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies
live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to
sea in a Sieve.

Shiela, When I saw the title on the main forum there I thought I was in for a joke about McDonalds; however, on finding that I am wrong (not sure if I'm dissapointed or not, to be honest) I am happy to send thoughts for your uncle and yourself. Just keep him off the Big Macs for a while, okies ;-) (",)
Sheila, good things DO happen! We don't always know why or even "how come" or the eventuality of it all. I am grateful to hear this good news. Still, we simply go nuts sometimes with such events...better still to have faith that all so far is for a good reason. Still, right now, a prayer for your uncle. Hang in there, family total...you have the stuff to handle this. God Bless and Peace in Heart. Tom.
thanks so much guys for your prayers and thoughts! Tom, yeah, we just gotta try to have faith. really, there's nothing else we can do. mike...he needs to stay away from the ciggies too. while he was in intensive care and totally out of it, he was screaming for cigarettes. he's been a big man ever since i was a little girl. sigh. i hope he'll be able to make some changes once he gets out of the hospital. yep...Big Macs are a big no-no for him. thanks so much again everyone!

hi guys, ya'all may recall that back in early Jan. i posted about my uncle Ronald and asked for prayers. he had had a aeortic annurism, torn aeortic valve, and then suffered a stroke. on top of all that he's diabetic, complicating things even worse. doctors gave him 3 days tops to live. here it is what 6 weeks later and he's still fighting and actually making improvements! they managed to stabilize him several weeks ago, enough to send him home, but without being able to do surgery, that annurism could blow at anytime. plus he's a smoker and is very obese. anyway, they found a surgeon who was willing to give it a try. all the other surgeons said surgery would kill him 100%. he's not only survived the surgery, but also 2 other procedures. he's off the ventilator and out of intensive care. he may need one more surgery before he can go home. anyway, i just wanted to thank ya'all for your prayers and thoughts. they mean a lot to me. i know my uncle's health is quite precarious, but at least he's got a chance now. i don't know for how long or how easy a road it will be, but we're just all grateful Ronald has made it through this tuff time. he's talking and alert, and still off the cigarettes!!! yipppppeeee!!! for those of you who pray, please continue to keep him your prayers and thoughts. thanks so much guys!!! i really appreciate it! hugz, sheila
