This is what it looks like where I did the model, in Wings3D.

This is what it looks like if the diffuse texture is loaded into UVMapper.

And this is what it looks like in VUE5.

It's just as if it totally ignores the UV and rather project the image on the plant instead.

What's up?

Are you using alpha planes for the map??? If so in Vue...make sure the top plane is white backgrounf with the colored leaf...the bottom box should be white with black for the leaves. Check your transparency as well. Hope this helps.....

Seems as the Wings created UV map had some problems. After doing the old trick of opening and then saving again in UV Mapper fixed the problem. Don't know what it was, could be some UV's ouside the 0.0-1.0 range, some apps can handle that and some cant, but it could be something else.

That's a nice ground texture, which one is it? Or, if not a preset, how did you make it?

HellBorn ( ) posted Tue, 22 February 2005 at 12:25 AM

The ground texture is a default Vue one. At least a Vue5 one. Cant check the name from where I am now but I think it's from the 'terrain' category. One of those looking as a grey stone with a little grass on top.
