I had this totally awful image of a leaf sinky in murky water, but for some reason i just hated to get rid of it. the image sucked, but i liked it..a lot. many of ya'all gave me advice, but i really loved what Joe did to my image. (THANKS JOE!!!) He upped the contrast, cropped it, and brought out the shape of the leaf and made a silhouette out of it. i luved it! I took his idea and bumped the contrast up to 54 and decreased the brightness to -27. it kept some of the color that i enjoy while at the same time, i *think* it still brings out the shape of the leaf. honest opinions please. here's the original. then i'll upload joe's version and then mine. i'm not sure which i like better. what do ya'all think? The adjustments you made really give it a darker mood! The water looks downright MURKY too...that's cool! BUT (there's always a but huh) I'm now findin' that blown out(overexposed) smaller leaf kinda distracting. The clone/stamp tool might just do the trick there! Joe ZOOOOOOOOOM

Thanks, Joe! I wasn't quite sure how to fix that overexposed part. this is what i did, but i didn't make it any better. should i clone from the darker part of the leaf and make the whole thing dark? i cloned this all wrong, didn't i? sorry...i'm sooooo sleepy.

oh, kemal showed me where to download this free plug-in for PSP. It's called Universe Image Creator. well, not everything on that plug in is free, but the stars were. i was playing around with the one you did. whatcha think? silly, huh? kemal showed me how i could i could put a nebula in there. i'm too sleepy to play with it anymore tonight though!

I like the original - there's something about the murkiness and the points of the leaves that gives the whole thing a 'primordeal' (is that actually a real word?) look to it, like you expect some lizard-ishy creature just to crawl up..... speaking of lizardy creatures, Tedz is probably old enough to mark it for accuracy ;-) (",)

ZOONtacular! :) I like the last one with the stars--they look like debris floating on the water's surface. May I also suggest a little more of the image be restored on the left side. It's a bit too square right now for my tastes! :)

Or you could go totally abstract like what I just did! ;)

thanks for the input guys! primordeal? dunno...works for me! yeah...something creepy crawly is definitely around, just lurking under the surface! kort, your abstract is freaky! kinda like it. i'll keep workin' on these and see what i come up with! thanks guys! zoonin' out o here now....!
