I posted this in the Bryce forum, but I also have Vue so I thought someone here might have a solution. I need to create a 3D mock up of a wristband like this one with recessed text. I have the band model, but I was wondering if there is an easy way to apply recessed text to make it look similar to the picture.

Get RHino3d www.rhino3d.com Their demo version lets oyu save 25 times IIRC before it stops saving. It's the best/easiest modeller IMHO and doing that would be VERY easy ;) Take like 10 minutes. hugs Rhino

Hmm. Could the Vue 5 text meshes be used in a boolean for that, perchance?

Thanks Silverblade! I'll check it out :-) I think booleans could work for the text. I've mocked up several bands in Carrara and Bryce which turned out ok, but I'm looking into other options to see if I can create something that looks better.
